ERIC LANESE: Drums

Eric started playing drums at age 12 after a year of playing alto saxophone. He recalls, "Drums were my first choice, but the try-out line for drums had about 25 kids and the sax line had two; so, I signed up for sax and switched over to drums the next year." Raised in rural central Ohio, Eric spent many hours playing along with his records on the drum set given to him by his parents. He later honed his musical skills in several bands where he played everything from country to hard rock before joining ekoostik hookah in 1993. Aside from drumming and lending vocal support to the band, Eric plays guitar and harmonica.
